"New global Internet of Things (IoT) era is coming." It's a consensus agreed on the 2017 World Internet of Things Exposition (WIOT) in Wuxi, Jiangsu province.
The WIOT organizing committee held the third news conference to release the current achievements in the Expo on Sept 13.
This year's WIOT attracted massive visitors, experts and enterprises and lasted one day more than estimated. 39 domestic and foreign academicians attended the expo this year, 14 more than last year. 5310 enterprises participated in the expo, 42 of those are Global Fortune 500 companies, which doubled last year in total. The number of guests reached 9520, up 25.26 percent from the previous year.
The cumulative number of visitors reached 173 thousand by 3 pm on Sept 13, 50.4 percent more than last year, including 94.7 thousand people from other provinces, accounting for 54.7 percent of the total.
More than 3000 latest innovative IoT products were exhibited on this year's WIOT, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality.
The first unmanned plane in the world- which has passed technological tests of 5th generation mobile networks attracted visitors. The plane was developed through collaborative efforts by China Mobile and Ericsson.
