Yantai's per capita disposable income up 8.6% in H1

People in Yantai, Shandong province had an average disposable income of 16,164 yuan ($2,470) per person in the first six months of 2017, 8.6 percent more than during the same period last year, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.

Urban residents' average per capita disposable incomes rose 8.2 percent year-on-year to 19,987 yuan in the first half of 2017, while rural residents' increased 8 percent year-on-year to 10,573 yuan.

The disposable income mainly came from residents' salaries, business revenues and property income.

In the first six months of the year, the average Yantai resident earned 9,621 yuan in salary, up 8.2 percent year-on-year.

A person's salary accounted for 59.5 percent of their disposable income on average in Yantai in H1 2017, according to the data.

On average, each Yantai resident made 2,793 yuan from running over the period, up 9.5 percent compared with 2016.

The business revenues of rural residents in Yantai also increased 8.9 percent to 2,480 yuan, data showed.

The average property income of residents in Yantai increased 6.7 percent year-on-year to 1,571 yuan in Jan-June 2017, according to the data.
