An exhibition focusing on oil paintings created by Mongolian artist Tuomusi was held at Siqintana Art Museum in Saihan district, Hohhot on Sept 10.
The free event was organized by Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) and Inner Mongolia Oil Painting Association, with a total of 80 pieces of work on public display, including 58 paintings being displayed for the first time.
Tuomusi, born in Tumd Left Banner, is a renowned Mongolian ethnic painter and educator. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a director of the Chinese Oil Painting Society, an honorary chairman of Inner Mongolia Artists Association, and an honorary dean of the Ethnic Art College of IMNU.
The exhibition was part of the 2017 Silk Road International Nadam Festival hosted by IMNU and also an activity for the 2nd China-Mongolia Exposition, with the purpose of enhancing exchanges in art and sports among colleges along the Belt and Road.
