At China All-For-One Tourism Hall, tourism routes covering destinations in Guangdong province also garnered great popularity among the visitors.
In 2016, the number of Chinese tourists travelling to Europe reached 5 million, an increase of 6 percent. In 2017, the number is expected to increase by another 10 percent. This is the reason a special Europe-themed tourism exhibition hall was established at this year's event with exhibitors from 11 European countries including Germany, France, Denmark and Switzerland showcasing their tourism resources.
With the year of 2017 being the ASEAN-China Year of Tourism Cooperation, a special tourism industry achievement exhibition was held at the expo with more than 50 enterprises from the 10 ASEAN countries showing their tourism resources and distinctive cultures.
At the expo, a special tourism industry financing and investment match-making session was held by Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province and Finance Office of Guangdong Province to promote the integrative development of the tourism industry with other industries including finance, education and agriculture.
A total of 54 tourism projects with an investment of 78.9 billion yuan ($12.2 billion) were sealed during the session.
