In its seventh year, the expo has built on its past success with over 2,000 well-known alcohol brands from over 40 countries and regions attending to exhibit their products this year.
The expo is divided into seven indoor pavilions, plus an independent outdoor pavilion hosting the second "global wine carnival", bringing together international wine chateaus and distributors to present their new products.
The expo is scheduled to run for four days and will host a forum on integrating the alchohol industry with tourism, culture and the internet, a world liquors summit and a world liquors purchasers' summit.
According to the organizing committee, nearly 1500 commercial contracts valued at more than 54.5 billion yuan ($8 billion) are expected to be singed during the event.
