Moutai unveils exhibition pavilion in Guiyang

Kweichow Moutai Co, renowned high-end Chinese liquor manufacturer, opened its new exhibition pavilion Moutai Impression Gallery in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, on Sept 8.

With an area of more than 8,000 square meters, it is the largest Moutai pavilion outside of the Cultural City of Chinese Liquors built at Moutai's distillery. The Moutai Impression Gallery features a cultural showcase, products display, taste experience bar and sale points for the Chinese national liquor.

The aroma of Moutai liquor fills the inside of the pavilion, with images on the walls depicting the development of Moutai from the Qin and Han dynasties (221BC-220) to the present. Visitors can learn about the various series of Moutai and taste a sip of the renowned liquor for free in the pavilion's experience area.

After surpassing the market value of Diageo a few months ago, Kweichow Moutai has taken first place in global spirits market. The total market value of Moutai has exceeded 600 billion yuan($92.96 billion).

In the first half of 2017, the revenue of Moutai reached 24.2 billion yuan, an increase of 33 percent year-on-year. Its net profit was 11.25 billion yuan, growing 27.81 percent year-on-year.

At present, Moutai is sold in 26 countries and regions along the Belt and Road. Its retailers have spread over five continents and important duty free ports across the world. In 2016, Moutai exported 1,700 tons of liquor worldwide.
