The Zhengzhou Marketing Center of Tianjin Port was set up on Aug 29. It is the second inland marketing center after the Handan branch in Central China's Henan province.
It will promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and lay a solid foundation for modern logistics upgrading.
Tianjin Port is located in Tianjin Binhai New Area, near Xiong' an New Area, and is an important location on the New Eurasian Land Bridge and the Maritime Silk Road.
The operator of Tianjin Port has set up five marketing centers and 25 land ports, shaping a crisscrossed logistics network in China.
In 2016, Tianjin Port achieved a freight volume of 330,000 TEU(twenty-foot equivalent units) at land ports, and 320,000 TEU by rail-sea intermodal transportation, increases of 3.1 percent and 3.2 percent respectively over 2015, ranking at the top of China' coastal ports.
By the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), Tianjin Port Group will optimize its layout of land ports, promote the integration with railway stations, and improve its container throughput.
Tianjin Port Group will strive to launch a logistics network and continue to promote economic development with its strengths in port construction.
