A group of young volunteers from Guangzhou returned to China after completing their year-long stint in the Seychelles on Sept 10.
The group, which consisted of nine doctors, a piano teacher, a PE coach, a software engineer and an electrical engineer, were the seventh Chinese volunteer group to be posted in the East African islands.
Guangzhou joined the China Youth Volunteers Overseas Service Plan and began to send volunteers abroad in 2007. The city is already recruiting its eighth group of volunteers to go to the Seychelles.
