The 2017 China Tourism Industries Exposition was held in Tianjin from Sept 1 to 4 in the Meijiang International Convention Center, arranging 270,000 trips and making deals worth more than 20 billion yuan ($3.06 billion).
Investment in characteristic town attractions amounted to 19.84 billion yuan, 80.89 million yuan was put into motor homes, yachts, camping facilities and other tourism facilities, and 29.7 million yuan was put into tourism products.
Larger than previous expositions, the 2017 event occupied 50,000 square meters and was divided into seven exhibition areas. Tourism equipment manufacturing enterprises from more than ten countries such as the US, the UK, Germany,France and Italy attended, as did 26 Chinese provinces.
Four summits themed on tourism were held during the exposition, and 100 project proposals for investment were launched. To top it all off, a library of Tianjin tourism projects was established.
