After being battered by Typhoons Hato, Pakhar, and Mawar, Zhuhai is bouncing back at the Sept 8-10 Guangdong China International Tourism Industry Expo (CITIE) in Guangzhou.
The Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau announced on Sept 6 that Zhuhai will accommodate more than 50 enterprises with 200 representatives at the event.
Spotlighted will be theme parks, island holidaymaking, hot-spring health care, brand events, rural ecology, conferences, exhibitions, industrial science and education, history and humanity, and cuisine.
The city will promote the 2nd Phase of Ocean Spring Resort, an ecological agriculture sightseeing project, an international medical tourism industry park, and upgrades to Zhuhai International Circuit and New Yuanming Palace. The projects have been listed in this year's publicity pamphlets of the Guangdong government to attract investment and businesses.

The exhibition pavilion will center upon the Zhuhai Opera House -- the main venue for the 2017 Guangdong International Tourism & Culture Festival -- and soon-to-open Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
A smart tourism exhibit will combine visual-acousto-optic effects strengthened by 3D technology. The interaction entertainment is expected to be eagerly taken up by visitors, according to a head of the delegation.
A special promotion event will be held on Sept 8 for the December Tourism & Culture Festival. The biennial event, initiated in 2005, represents Guangdong's tourism development.
More than 100 media workers from 32 provinces across China will experience Zhuhai's beauty at the invitation of the Guangdong Tourism Administration. This, combined with a host of other measures, will ensure full-coverage.
Also to be introduced are upcoming music, circus, dance, and sports activities. These include the 2nd Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians, International Beach Music Festival, and Pan Delta Super Racing Festival.
An annual expo for tourism advancement, CITIE is put on by the Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province. It provides one stop for travel industry professionals to meet, network, and negotiate with potential business partners.
This year's event takes place in Area A of the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou. News is that exhibitors can freely connect with investors at a networking event.
