Jilin deepens ties with Croatia

Croatia Pavilion, the first state-level exhibition hall in Jilin province, was open to the public on Sept 2.

Lin Wu, executive vice governor of Jilin province, Nebojsa Koharovic, the Croatian Ambassador to China and officials from Jilin government attended the opening ceremony.

The pavilion, with a building area of 3000 square meters, is a platform for Croatia to feature commodity display, tourism publicity and projects matchmaking, which will be an vital bridge in connecting Jilin with the EU bloc.

2017 also marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Croatia.

As one of the countries along the Belt and the Road, Jilin and Croatia are mutually complementary to each other and enjoy huge potentials for cooperation.

In recent years, the government of Jilin province has attached great importance to their friendship and cooperation with Croatia. Several economic and trade delegations from Jilin have been to Croatia to enhance cooperation.

In July, Jilin Department of Commerce set up the Representative Office of Jilin Province in Croatia, which will be the headquarters for Jilin to explore the market of economic and trade cooperation with Europe.

The Croatia Pavilion in Changchun will be a new starting point to advance the comprehensive cooperative partnership in order to better benefit the two sides and their people.

Croatia-China Friendship and Culture Exchange Center and Changchun Zhongyuanfeng Investment Company of Jilin Dingsheng Group jointly constructed the pavilion.
