Baotou promotes dough modeling

A man demonstrates dough modeling techniques in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Aug 25. Five artists were invited to hold courses on dough modeling, as part of the city’s efforts to promote the art form. Baotou dough modeling is a traditional folk art originating in Shanxi province. It uses polished glutinous rice dough, painted with different colors, which is modeled by hand as well as with some simple tools.
