The 2017 Wuxi Netizen Swimming Competition splashed down in Wuxi on Aug 26, with more than 210 swimming enthusiasts from China and South Korea taking part.
People aged from 10 to 60 took part in the contest. As the competition was aimed at netizens, all of the participants had signed up to compete online.
The contest featured a range of different events, including the 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 800m freestyle and 4x50m medley relay, with different races for each age group.
"Swimming, my favorite sport, offers me a healthy life. It is so interesting to participate in this competition and the result is not so important," said Song, a swimmer participating in the competition.
The Chinese team finished with 18 gold medals and five silver medals, while the South Korean team won seven golds and three silvers.
