The China (Guangzhou) International Robot & Intelligent Manufacturing Exhibition was held in Guangzhou from Aug 27 to 29.
Held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, the exhibition covers an area of 50,000 square meters, showcasing industrial robots, specialized robots, service robots, drones, robot components and smart wearable devices. More than 500 robotic enterprises attended the fair.
Different from previous events, this year's fair is more customer-oriented and centers on providing systematic solutions to customers.
With the exhibition area and the number of exhibitors both increasing by 150 percent, the event has become the largest robot and intelligent manufacturing exhibition in China, according to a spokesperson of industry and information technology commission of Guangzhou municipality.

Many Guangzhou-based enterprises shone at the exhibition, such as Sinomach Intelligent Technology which displayed its industrial robot, service robot and smart factory based on industry 4.0. Guangzhou MINO Automotive Equipment was another highlight, displaying its smart manufacturing data service platform and powertrain technologies.
Guangzhou has been attaching great importance to intelligent equipment and the robotics industry and the city has rolled out many policies in the past few years to build itself into a hub of China's smart equipment manufacturing and technologies development.
Currently, the city's robot and intelligent manufacturing industry is valued at 49 billion yuan ($7.4 billion), with output value of robot enterprises, intelligent equipment enterprises and intelligent modules and key component enterprises being 8.5 billion yuan, 29.5 billion yuan and 11 billion yuan, respectively.
