Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy Industrial Park is among 45 local projects valued at 63.9 billion yuan ($9.6 billion) being signed at the Aug 28-30 Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Investment & Trade Symposium for the Western Pearl River Region in Foshan.
The park in Sanzao Town of Jinwan District is to become the most advanced new-energy automobile and battery production base worldwide. It will occupy 3,330,000 sq m with a factory and centers for research and development, testing, exhibition, business, and administration.
Produced will be lithium titanium batteries, hydrogen fuel batteries, electric passenger vehicles, electric buses, energy storage systems, electric motor and integrated control systems, and charging devices. When operational, the park is expected to yield an annual output value of 100 billion yuan ($15 billion), according to a company executive.

Another lucrative hi-tech project is Zhuhai Artificial Intelligence & Smart Industries Park. Sited in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan), it will focus on big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, among other fields.
The park Pilot Area is within the Harbor 1 High-Tech Park with floor space of 210,000 sq m. Its 2,370,000-sq-m Accumulation Area will be in Beiwei of the Technological Innovation Coast, starting from North Jinfeng Road and extending westward to the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway link line, and northward to Xingbei Road and southward to Xingnan Road.
In addition, a delegation consisting of seven enterprises from the Gaolan Port Economic Zone have brought their latest achievements and reports of success in their vast undertakings. Participants include COOEC-Fluor Heavy Industries, Zhuhai Fiberhome Ocean Network Equipment, Sany Marine Heavy Industry, and Jutal Offshore Oil Services.
Gaolan will sign agreements for 11 projects valued at 6.8 billion yuan ($1 billion) to boost the equipment manufacturing industry in Zhuhai. They include a battery diaphragm project in cooperation with Shanghai-based Sembcorp (China) Holding, electronic science park developed by APCB Asia Electronics (HK), and investment expansion by the Guangdong Hangxiao Steel Structure.
In all, with 16 additional projects, there is an increase of 36.5 percent over the value of those signed at the 2016 session. According to the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province, they include six at least 1 billion yuan ($150.6 million) each and 19 more-than 500 million yuan ($75.3 million) deals related to equipment manufacturing.
Zhuhai has a 42-enterprise delegation promoting achievements in creating an advanced manufacturing industrial belt.
Spotlighted are the first two Zhuhai-1 remote-sensing micro-nano satellites launched in June by Zhuhai Orbita Control Engineering Co Ltd. Next is the AG600 -- the world's largest amphibious aircraft developed by China Aviation Industry General Aircraft (CAIGA) Co Ltd. The AG600 will soon undergo test flights.

Zhuhai Seine Technology is also in the limelight with a self-developed color multi-material 3D printer -- the SailnerJ501Pro -- the first and only one of its kind in China.
The display of developments in Zhuhai's new-energy automobile industry, which includes a complete industrial chain, is another focus. Exhibitors include automobile manufacturers Zhuhai Yinlong Energy and ZTE Smart Auto Corp. Also in attendance are electronic control system developers Zhuhai Enpower Electric Holding, and LPR (Zhuhai) Auto Parts; the latter is a production and sales base for brake systems of the Italian LPR Group in China.

The three-day event attracted Foshan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Zhaoqing, Shaoguan, and Shunde District in Foshan. Yunfu is also participating, for the first time.
More than 200 enterprises are showcasing more than 700 innovative technologies and products of the equipment manufacturing industry in a 30,000-sq-m exhibition area.
