Almost 300 deals worth 367 billion yuan ($55 billion) are expected to be signed and sealed at the third Exposition for Investment and Trade of Advanced Equipment Manufacturing for the West Bank of the Pearl River Delta (2017 AEME) from Aug 28 to 30.

Held in Foshan at the Guangdong Tanzhou International Exhibition Center, the three-day event covers an exhibition space of 30,000 square meters.

During the 2017 AEME, eight cities including Foshan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing will set up exhibition halls to showcase their latest achievements in advanced equipment manufacturing projects, nurturing leading companies and intensive industrial development.

The event is hosted by Foshan and the Economic and Information Commission of Guangdong Province. In August 2014, Guangdong put forward the initiative to construct an industrial belt for advanced equipment manufacturers on the west bank of the Pearl River.

In the past three years, the eight cities involved in the initiative have experienced growth rates above the provincial level in areas such as total output value, industrial added value and investment.
