Inner Mongolia signed a dozen memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with Kazakhstan at Astana Expo on Aug 22, making a big stride in international commercial and industrial collaboration.
Hohhot reached an agreement with Karaganda concerning tourism promotion, and Baotou signed an MOU with Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation in Kazakhstan regarding a ferrous metal -- chromium -- a project valued at 100 million dollars.
Associations for the promotion of international trade from both sides also negotiated a series of cooperative businesses in agriculture, heavy-duty trucks, and chemical engineering.
