Sanmenxia builds first health park

The Wuqiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone Health Park, the first health-themed park in Sanmenxia, was opened to the public on Aug 21.

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Chengdu Military Region Hospital and the Administrative Office of Sanmenxia Yellow River Park co-invested 200,000 yuan ($30,000) on the project.

Based on the natural landscape of the Yellow River Park, the park features elements and ideas about bone health in traditional Chinese medicine to spread health knowledge.

The park is comprised of five functional areas centered on idea cultivation, knowledge popularization, functional exercise, cultural appreciation, and healthcare. Decorations and exercise facilities in the park provide opportunities for local residents to approach the culture of traditional Chinese medicine.
