The event coincided with the opening day of the 18th China Green Food Expo, which is being in Baotou this year.
Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, is one of China’s leading promoters of organic farming. The city was recognized as China's first "prefecture-level model city for green food" by the China Green Food Association in 2009.
More than 100 people attended the event, which was organized by Yantai municipal government.
At the event, agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry officials from Yantai briefed the audience on the city's renowned specialties, including apples, wine, cherries, holothurian and abalone.
Companies from Yantai also showcased their green produce at the event.
