Liaoning Children's Art Theater

The Liaoning Children's Art Theater was set up in July 1960. Since its founding, the Theater has created such representative repertoire as "The Adventure of the Little Iron Head", "The Snow Queen", "Monkey King Subdues the White Bone Demon", "Little Red Army Soldiers", "Newspaper Boy", "Doll Ginseng", "Mama's Dream", "The Unrestrained Girl" and "There will be a villa here". A total of 17 prizes, both provincial and nationa1, were won by the above repertoire. Of the repertoire, "Little Red Army Soldiers" was sent to perform in Zhongnanhai in Beijing in 1960s, "Doll Ginseng won the best creation prize and the best acting prize at the National Children's Theatrical Festival in 1982, "Mama's Dream" won the best acting prize at the National children's Theatrical Festival, "The unrestrained Girl" won the first prize at the Nationa1 Children's Theatrical Festival in 1992 and "There will be a Villa Here won the first prize at the National Performance of Appraisal Through Comparison of Outstanding children's New Plays.

The artists of the Theater enjoying the lst grade professional title are Li Fang, Chen Daqian and Li Shuren.
