Xi'an Yisu Society

Its leading performer Dai Chunrong has won the Plum Blossom Award. In addition, its plays Zhentai Goes to School, Drunken Storming the Temple Gate and Sima Paying Homage were made into TV plays and were shown on CCTV for three times. Execution of Chen Shimei was collected as one of the 50 episode of the TV Documentary China's Local Opera by the Chinese Dramatists Associations the representative work of Qinqiang Opera. The society also cooperated with the national TV of Spain for producing an art film Palace of Longevity.

The society once had famous artists such as Liu Yuzhong, who was regarded as the best sheng (male role in Chinese Opera), and Wang Tianmin, who was regarded as Mei Lanfang of Qinqiang Opera. Other well-known veteran performers include Meng Eryun, Xiao Ruolan, Chen Miaohua, Quan Qiaomin and Guo Baohua. Its current renowned performing artists are Zhang Yonghua, Wu Minzhong, Dai Chunrong, Zhang Baowei, Wang Kexue, Song Baicun, Mao Wende, Ren Binghan, Fong Yogan, Wang Ronghua and Zhang Quanhui.
