Acrobatic Troupe of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region

The Acrobatic Troupe of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was first established in 1961. After decades of development, the Trope has produced many programs including Magic Cards, Two Men Bowl Balancing, Sabayi Pass, Handstand Trick, Grand Springboard Trick, Going Through Group Hoop, Hoop Spinning, Group Acrobatic Gymnastics, Balancing on the Revolving Stage, Soft Wire, High Wire Walk, Lantern Rolling and Dawazi etc. It has won several gold, silver, bronze prizes in international, national and northwest regional competitions, and was commended by the Ministry of Culture.

Now major artists of the Troupe include Adili Wuxiuer, Anniwaer Maimaiti, Ruxianguli Aibaidula, Yu Tianyong, Zhang Jinfeng and Peng Tiekang. On June 22, 1997, through a steel wire highly over the Three Gorges, the young actor Adili Wuxiuer stretched successively across the Yangtze River in the time period of 13'49' and created a Guinness world record. The Autonomous Region Government has thereby awarded the actor the honor title King in the Upper Sky.
