Zunyi Municipal Acrobatic Troupe

The Zunyi Municipal Acrobatic Troupe, previously the Beijing Xingxing Circus, was founded in November 1958.

For the past 40 years, the six generations of the Troupe's artists have developed and created such excellent programs with Chinese characteristics as Three-person Acrobatic Show, Balancing of Bowls on the Head, Pagodas and Spinning, Carpet Spinning, Miao Ethnic Kid Juggling with Straw Hats and One-handed Handstand, which have won more than seventy prizes in domestic and international acrobatic competitions.

The acrobatic troupe has been invited to visit a dozen of countries and regions including Italy, Canada, Japan, the United States, France, Germany, Brazil, Mauritius, Angola, and Hong Kong. The representative works of the Troupe include Three-person Acrobatic Show, Pots Tricks, Rolling Cups, Leather Belts Tricks, Ground Circles, Holding up a Girl with the Feet, Nine Girls on Stacked Chairs, Pagodas and Spinning, Ode to the Plum Blossom: Carpet Spinning, Kid Plays with Straw Hat, One-handed Handstand, Fork Dance on Plum Blossom Posts, Juggling on a Pole and Swing and Pagoda.

Major performers of the troupe include Pan Guoxian, Xin Yuzhe, Chen Xuewen, Zhang Shenghua, Liang Yan, Feng Shuqiong, Peng Wenhua, Liu Yuntao, Xiong Wei and He Ya.
