A complimentary express bus will take AirAsia ticket holders, after passing Gongbei Checkpoint, directly to Macao International Airport until Dec 15, it was announced at a press conference on Aug 15.
Passengers must complete exit procedures at Gongbei Port before entering a restricted immigration inspection area in front of the Barrier Gate of Macao (Portas do Cerco). E-tickets or other valid documents are required for boarding the express bus.
The shuttle departs every 45 minutes from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, and must be boarded three hours before the scheduled departure time.
The service was developed by Macao International Airport in conjunction with AirAsia to save passenger time and effort, according to a company executive.

Macao International Airport is one of the large terminals the Malaysian low-cost airline operates in China. It runs flights to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Pattaya in Thailand; Kuala Lumpur and Manila in Malaysia; and Djakarta in Indonesia.
Other than the express bus, Zhuhai passengers can reach the airport by their own means or take Macao International Airport express buses from Gongbei and Hengqin checkpoints, with cross-border inspection only once.
