National Games torch relay goes on

On Aug 15, the torch relay ceremony of the 13th National Games was held in the Ninghe district of Tianjin.

In Ninghe lies Qilihai National Wetland Park, a national nature reserve that is one of the three coastal wetland resources in the world. Qilihai National Wetland Park is also known as “the lung of Beijing and Tianjin Region”.

The torch route was 3.5 kilometers long, with 37 torch bearers participating.

Hu Fengyu, the first torch bearer of the torch relay at Ninghe station, is a national class social sports instructor. She was represented by the national leaders in August 2013 as an advanced representative of mass sports.

Hu said that it’s very exciting to participate in the torch relay in the National Games. When she gets back, she will devote herself to the extensive mass fitness programs with greater enthusiasm.

With the last torchbearer, Li Yuanzhi, lighting the cauldron at front of the community square in Qiaobei New Area, the Ninghe station of the 13th National Games torch relay ceremony has successfully come to an endgame to a successful end.

On Aug 16, the torch relay of the 13th National Games will be carried oncontinued in Dongli district of Tianjin.
