Pharmaceutical industry forum scheduled for CNEA Expo

The Changbai Mountain International Pharmaceutical Industry Development Forum is to be coordinated with the 11th China-Northeast Asia Expo, and Tonghua, the forum's host city, has started to prepare for the event.

This year's forum will concentrate on "Innovation, development, cooperation and win-win". Four sub-forums -- health industrial policy trends, ginseng industrial innovation, Chinese medicine and a health and Chinese medicine city summit -- will be included.

According to the forum's organizing committee, about 370 exhibitors will be invited and more than 200 have confirmed they will attend.

During the forum, a meeting of investors and enterprises focusing on medicine, green food and tourism will be held. To date, seven programs worth 13.74 billion yuan ($2.05 billion) have been recommended for promotion at the forum.

The local government of southern Jilin province intends to integrate the area's advantages such as natural resources and local industries and build Tonghua into a innovative and environmentally friendly city.
