Intelligent manufacturing will be a highlight at the 11th China-Northeast Asia Expo, which will open on Sept 1 in Changchun, Jilin province.
This is the first time the Expo has established a separate section for intelligent manufacturing. Visitors will be able to see various advanced manufacturing products including intelligent robots, 3D printing and new energy cars.
Zhang Liang, vice president of the Jilin Provincial Association for Promotion of International Trade, said "Jilin province is an important traditional manufacturing base in China. Intelligent manufacturing is a vital part of industrial transformation and upgrading."
To date, several enterprises from the US, Japan and the Republic of Korea have expressed their intention to exhibit their intelligent products at the Expo. Other exhibitors will come from Shandong, Jiangsu, Hubei province and Beijing.
Zhang said the Expo intends to demonstrate advanced manufacturing techniques and to offer an exchange platform for manufacturers from Jilin and elsewhere.
According to Zhang, about 400 enterprise managers and experts attending the Expo will discuss accelerating development of industrial transformation and upgrading in Jilin province.
