Rossini set to elevate watch repair in Hi-Tech Zone

Sino-Swiss (Zhuhai) Clock & Watch Technology Ltd was officially unveiled in the Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone on Aug 6, which marked the 33th anniversary of Zhuhai Rossini Watch Industry Ltd -- the controlling shareholder.

Relying on high-efficient and high-quality after-sales service, Sino-Swiss will provide professionalism for maintenance of clock movement and training of technicians from overseas enterprises. It is also to become a cradle for Chinese watch and clock maintenance craftsmanship, stated a company executive.

According to the plan, a large-scale repair factory will have a 500-sq-m dust-free repair workshop divided into movement repair and assembly, cleaning, watch repair, and polishing rooms. It will also be equipped with high-end timepiece repair test machines and tools imported from Switzerland.

The workshop will have a strict workflow and standards, with repairs of mechanical movements standardized and streamlined for each movement manufacturer.

Overall improvement will be achieved in quality and efficiency as each employee will be able to repair nearly 100 movements. Likewise, the maintenance period of watches will be shortened from seven workdays to five, the executive stated. 

The company will give full play to craftsmanship, and thus help Rossini embark on a new journey to advance innovative after-sales services and fulfill its goal of "century-old shop, world-famous brand," said Shang Jianguang, general manager of Zhuhai Rossini Watch Industry Ltd.

Several strategic cooperation agreements were signed between the company and Ernest Borel, Wbiao Technology Co Ltd, the movement business department of Citizen Watch Co Ltd, Zhuhai Technician College, and Zhuhai Duty Free Emporium. The agreements will foster advantages in technology, talents, and promotion, paving the way for future development.
