One thing you may not know about Jiangyin: It's home to more companies listed on Shanghai's A share market than any other county in China.
As of 2016, there have been 3,047 companies listed on the A share market in total, with 44 of them coming from Jiangyin.
Those companies raised about 12 billion yuan in 2016, about 1.1 percent of the total capital invested on the A share market.
The county has now created its own Jiangyin Listed Company Association to represent these companies.
The association was founded on July 31, the 20th anniversary of the first ever Jiangyin company going public—Xingcheng Share, in July 1997.
