It is organized by the administration of forestry and gardening of Guangzhou, Guangdong Floral Council and Chinese Humanist Association of Guangdong.
The World Flower Council, whose headquarters are in Florida, has members from over 50 countries and regions. It holds large-scale annual gatherings in different countries and regions each year, which are commonly known as the "Olympics of the flower world".
It is the first time the annual summit will be held in Guangzhou, since WFC was founded 34 years ago.
This year's event will be the first that will be open to the public, who are welcome to submit entries to the floral design competitions.
Featuring floral artistry masters from over 30 countries and regions, the event will showcase over 400 floral design works and host nearly 10 activities of international floral cultural exchange.
