Yixing getting thumbs up from notable domestic magazine

The renowned Chinese magazine Chinese National Geography plans to launch a major project to document the beautiful scenery in Yixing, a county-level city administered by Wuxi.

Founded in 1950, the Chinese National Geography is an authority in the field of Chinese geography and culture, attracting millions of regular readers.

The Yixing government and the magazine have signed an agreement on the Chinese Scenery project, which was launched in 2015 to record the history, customs, natural environment, specialties and scenic spots of 100 Chinese counties.

A large amount of research will be conducted in Yixing, including data collecting and field research. Reports will be recorded in databases and published in the form of print and digital books.

The publication project will integrate several cultural tourism spots in Yixing to attract more visitors.
