AVIC Flight Club (AVICLUB), China's first aviation training site for teenagers, was designated a city-level science education base by the Zhuhai Association for Science & Technology on July 25.
Located on Jinhai Avenue southwest of Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport, the base was founded in 2015 with investment from the Municipal Education Bureau; AVICLUB, a subsidiary of China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co Ltd (CAIGA); and AVICLUB Public Welfare Foundation.
Relying on aviation manufacture and flight education resources at CAIGA's South China base and AVICLUB, the base provides middle and primary school students with free learning in the field of aviation. More than 30,000 visitors have been recorded so far.

A well-rounded display platform with powerful software and hardware, the base has a viewing place for aircraft assembly, and areas for aviation culture exhibits, flight theory teaching, and simulated flight experiences costing more than 20 million yuan ($3 million).
Students can tour the specially designed exhibition hall as well as attend lectures about the sector. By visiting the assembly line, real non-confidential aircraft and physical prototypes, they also gain insights into scientific secrets behind the industry. There are also helicopter flying performances, model aircraft DIY experiences, and experiments.
