The first wetland-themed park on North Lovers Avenue is scheduled to open on July 29, providing a venue for exercise, leisure, and recreation for residents in Tangjiawan, the Zhuhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone reported on July 19.
Peninsula Bikeway Station Park was built by Zhuhai Yanlord Real Estate Development Co Ltd with an investment of 30 million yuan ($4.44 million). Situated opposite the Yanlord Marina Peninsula, it covers an area of 76,000 sq m.
Based on the concept of a brand-new ecological wetland park, the bikeway station-based project is designed to serve as an outdoor leisure land composed of the Yanlord Marina Center, two axes, and three sections. The horizontal axis extends across a leisure lawn, boardwalk landscape zone, and brook waterfront area, whereas the vertical axis is a wooden walkway leading to the viewing platform with highly characterized lampstands standing alongside. Meanwhile, flora pergolas will be set up in the wetland park to add a romantic atmosphere to the views.

Construction of the park has been completed. When it opens to the public, it will link up with other scenic spots in the area to form a cluster for leisure activities on North Lovers Avenue, bringing new vitality, a coastal leisure lifestyle, as well as setting an international tourism tone for the city.
The Zhuhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone is the city's northern gateway to the Pearl River Delta. With construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Shenzhen-Zhongshan Cross-River Channel, it will serve as the bridgehead for the "one-hour living circle" within the Pearl River Delta, according to an official of the zone.
As planned, another batch of high-quality parks will be built in the next two years. Along with those already operating in 16 communities, they will create a public space integrating leisure, tourism, culture, and exercise in the Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, providing a beautiful, ecological, and livable environment.
