The Mianchi government and Xi'an General Aviation Group signed a deal on July 13 to build the county's first general aviation aerodrome.
The aerodrome will cover 500 mu (33.33 hectares) and be constructed according to A2-class standards stipulated by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
Upon completion, the first general aviation aerodrome in Mianchi county will play a great role in air logistics, aerological sounding, emergency rescue and local tourism.

Xie Xilai, head of Mianchi county, said that the local government will provide the best services to support the construction of the project and create a favorable development environment for enterprises involved.
The project will help enhance bilateral strategic cooperation relations and realize win-win development, according to Lei Chunxia, representative of Xi'an General Aviation Group.
It is estimated the whole construction will cost about 200 million yuan ($29.59 million).
