Zhuhai CRCC contractor stands out among all the best

China Railway Construction Corp (CRCC) Harbor & Channel Engineering Bureau Group has been designated the 11th domestic construction enterprise with the Premium Qualification for General Contracting of Harbor & Channel Engineering. This announcement was recently released by the Ministry of Housing & Urban-Rural Development of the PRC.

One of the headquarters companies cultivated within priority in the city, the firm also won the Class-A Qualification for Water Transportation Survey & Design, becoming Zhuhai's only engineering contractor with both qualifications.

The Premium Qualification for General Contracting is the highest level in national construction enterprise competency standards. According to a spokesperson for the group, both qualifications will enhance the brand influence in the hydraulic engineering market, promote reform and development, and help realize the strategic target of being a domestic-leading and international-renowned professional brand.

The group was established in Hengqin in 2011. It has accumulated personnel, qualifications, and performance via merger, restructuring, acquisition, and shareholding over the past six years. Annual revenue has risen from 2 billion yuan ($296 million) to over 10 billion yuan ($1.48 billion). It has entered a fast-growth track and contributed to economic development of Zhuhai, especially Hengqin New Area.

The group's business range has covered all over the country to date. It has also played an important role in Zhuhai's urban infrastructure construction with 100 percent agreement fulfillment and qualification rates. Examples include the Xinyue Bridge to Yeli Island, West Wing Central Area project, Gree Yacht Marina, and Jitimen Grand Bridge on Shuanghu Road. 

Moreover, the group cooperates with overseas companies as the Zhuhai headquarters construction enterprise. It has built projects including Nigeria Naval Dockyard located in Lagos, Nigeria, China-Belarus Industrial Park, and the AMIGO Bangladesh Project.

The group has won a gold and a silver medal at the National Quality Engineering Awards, the highest in domestic engineering. Other honors include a State Scientific & Technological Progress Award, China Patent Excellence Award, 10 provincial and ministerial-level awards for scientific and technological advancement, 29 national patents, and four National-Grade Normalized Construction Methods. It has also been identified as a "provincial-level enterprise technology center".
