Plans for the final phase of the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center are pending Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) approval. If all goes well, construction will commence this month and be completed in March 2021, it was announced by the Environmental Protection Bureau on July 12.
The center is located east of Nanwan Avenue and south of Zhuhai Star Experimental School of Peking University in Shizimen Business District of Wanzai. This last stage will cover 51,750 sq m with a floor space of 272,372 sq m. It comprises a 176,543-sq-m aboveground area and 95,829-sq-m basement.
The complex will include a convention and exhibition center, two office towers, and support facilities such as commercial podiums and a sublevel parking lot for 2,100 cars.

Construction will take 44 months (about 1,340 days), enabling the complex to be in use by April 2021.
By then, the entire Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center will be complete. In operation since October 2014, it is a large-scale complex that integrates exhibition, conference, business, hotel, theatre, concert hall, catering, Grade-A office building, and commercial facilities.
