Renowned flower city Guangzhou is set to host what has been dubbed "the Olympics of the flower industry" with the World Flower Council Annual Summit (WFCAS) to be held from Sept 18 to 24.

The World Flower Council, headquartered in the US state of Florida, has a 34-year history. The organization consists of floral professionals in all fields including growers, retailers, wholesalers, educators, floral designers as well as non-professional flower enthusiasts. Today it has members in more than 40 countries and continues to spread peace through flowers by forming lasting relationships around the world.
The event, a new calling card for the city of Guangzhou, will feature a wide range of activities and exhibitions. Different from previous events, the activities and exhibitions for this year's WFCAS will open to the public, making it possible for Guangzhou residents to admire over 400 floral works created by renowned florists from across the world.
