Pan He, 92, is a Guangdong-based sculptor and painter who has enjoyed great fame throughout his career creating more than 200 giant outdoor sculptures standing in the squares of 70 cities across China.
The exhibition features a range of works created by Pan He including Hard Times and the Canton-Hong Kong Strike, which not only shows the experienced artist's unique skills, but also gives visitors the chance to experience history through his eyes.

Pan Fang, son of Pan He, is also a renowned sculptor whose works are made of twisted iron wires. His sculptures provide a vivid representation of human expression and the exquisite features of the human appearance – they too are among China's most treasured sculptures.
Architectural models created by Pan Hongzhang, grandson of Pan He, are also highlights of the exhibition. Learning from his forebears, Pan He has familiarized himself with all the materials and tools needed in making sculpture. He mixes his sculpture with architectural design which he learned at school.
