Day three of the China (Guangzhou) International Building Decoration Fair got underway on July 10, with top domestic exhibitors as well as those from across the globe taking part in negotiations and exchanges.
The four-day fair is the world's largest, hosting 2,200 exhibitors as well as 300,000 buyers on day one, followed by 200,000 on day two.
According to Li Deying, general manager of China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corp, which manages the trade fair, attendees are expected to top last year's figures of 820,000 professional buyers.
Covering an area of 390,000 square meters, the expo has areas for smart solutions, customization solutions, systematic solutions and house decoration as well as for decoration design, with exhibits covering the whole industrial chain for building decoration.
"You can be assured that all the exhibiting firms are industrial leaders and they have attached great importance to the hard-won opportunity for promotion and new business opportunities," Li said. One such exhibitor is Schmidt Kitchens, a French kitchen brand with a history of almost 100 years, which has been trading in China since 2014.

The sheet material, by applying laser technology to edge banding, is capable of a great variety of colors and molds – the process minimizing emissions of formaldehyde or volatile organic compounds.
Zhao Bin, general manager forSchmidt Kitchens' marketing system in China, said the fair provides the company with a platform for industrial exchanges and promotions for new orders.
"It is very important that Schmidt Kitchens makes a strong presence in a growing market like China," Zhao said.
Coming up next will be the Shanghai version of the fair, from March 21 to 23, 2018, followed by the Guangzhou version, a year later.
