Officials from the Royal Thai Consulate General in Xiamen visited Triplex International Biosciences (China) Co Ltd, a local biotechnology company, on June 30.
During the visit, Tajtai Tmangraksat, the Thai Consul-General in Xiamen, and Mongkol Sinsomboon, Thai Deputy Consul-General in Xiamen, received a warm welcome from Kong Fanzhong, director general of Triplex Biosciences.
Yiu Ming-fung, the company's chairman, and Tajtai Tmangraksat held discussions on deepening cooperation between the two sides. The consul-generals were briefed on the development, characteristics and scientific research programs of the company.
Founded in 2004, Triplex International Biosciences operates throughout four subsidiaries. It invested 600 million yuan ($88.2 million) to build a 70,000-square-meter bioscience park in 2014, which has become the largest research, development and production base of molecular diagnosis reagents in East China and even Asia.
Yiu was presented with the "honorary citizen" award by the Xiamen government for his remarkable contributions in attracting investment and promoting infrastructure development in the city.
