Amazon China announced signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with China (Ningbo) cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone on July 6 to boost Ningbo's e-commerce business, CZTV.com reported.

The mission of the MOU is to help some 100 high-quality enterprises in Ningbo, Zhejiang province to conduct cross-border e-commerce business through Amazon's global sales.

Through the partnership, Amazon will provide services like distant training, global logistics, storage guide and support, online marketing for startups and small- and medium-sized enterprises in Ningbo.

Amazon's global sales business began in 2012, with the aim of opening an online exporting passage for sellers to expand its international business. To date, 9 overseas sites including the US, Canada, Germany and UK have opened access to Chinese sellers. Tens of thousands of Chinese vendors have since joined Amazon's global marketplace.

Ningbo has a natural advantage in developing cross-border e-commerce for its rich port resources and dozens of industry bases ranging from petroleum chemicals and auto parts to textiles and clothing. Now, cross-border e-commerce has become a new impetus for Ningbo's economic growth.

"Although Bull enjoys good reputation in China, its brand popularity in overseas market remains in an initial stage," said Fu Guangchao, director of cross-border e-commerce project of Bull, an electrical device provider in China.

Now, Ningbo Bull Group has opened its online store on Amazon.

"Selling Bull products on Amazon helps to expand into the American market and achieve online and offline coordinated development," Fu said.
