MADRID — Representatives of Spain's Marques del Atrio winery will start a week-long visit to China on July 5, the winery confirmed on Tuesday.
The main reason for the visit is for the wine producer, from "La Rioja" wine district in Spain, to hold a series of meetings with their Chinese partner Changyu Pioneer Wine to help the two wineries better exploit the Spanish and Chinese markets.
The Marques del Atrio team will visit Beijing and Yantai, where Changyu have their head office.
"This is a very important commercial opportunity for us in which we are going to get an idea about the potential for the sale of Spanish wine in China and Changyu's wines in the rest of the world," explained Masques del Atrio's commercial director, Jorge Rivero.
