Nanyang's first 10 kilovolt power station begins trial operations

The first 10 kilovolt photovoltaic power station in Nanyang, Henan province, began trial operations after its 4.5 megawatt roof-type photovoltaic project passed inspection by local power authorities.

With over 30 million yuan ($4.41 million) invested, the project covers an area of 47,823 square meters on the roofs of buildings in Dengzhou's Industrial Incubation Park. Dengzhou is a county-level city governed by Nanyang.

With an annual generation of 7.88 million kWh, the project is expected to reduce 2,628 metric tons of coal use and 6,833 tons of atmospheric carbon dioxide.

Industry experts applauded Dengzhou for blazing a trail in the development of green energy, saving traditional energy and protecting the environment.
