Print-Rite Holdings Inc has been granted exclusive rights to manufacture high-quality, unique patent-safe cartridges using the Pelikan Brand under a 30-year licensing agreement, effective July 1.
An exchange filing was announced in Kuala Lumpur on June 30 and reported by Nikkei NewsRise Asia Pte Ltd. According to the news report, Pelikan International Corp would sell its printer consumable businesses in Germany, France, Czech Republic, and China for $6.99 million in total. The buyers are listed as Print-Rite Europe and Tian Wei Image Products Manufacturer, which is situated in the Fushan Industrial Zone of Doumen District. Tian Wei is described as an overseas supplier that imports and exports products.
Under the contract, Print-Rite will take over the printer consumable business and the sale is to be completed by the end of 2017.

Pelikan is a Malaysian manufacturer of stationary products. With a history of 179 years, Pelikan was founded in 1838 by German chemist Carl Hornemann. He launched a color and ink factory in Hannover, covering stationeries, art, and printing articles.
