Wuxi Fasten Group, with metal products as its core business, is a diversified enterprise engaged in the manufacture and sale of optical-communication products, new materials and modern services. From being a fiber rope producer to steel wire rope manufacturer, and now as a key high-tech enterprise among the top 500 enterprises in China, Fasten Group has strived to be an industry leader through innovation.

It is among the first enterprises in China to establish a technological development center at the national level, as well as a post-doctoral technology innovation center and an engineering research center for metal products.

Its development of high-performance bridge cables has allowed China to reduce its dependence on expensive imported cables for bridge construction. Since its first participation in domestic bridge construction in 1994, the firm's cables have been used in the construction of more than 700 bridges at home and abroad, including the Izmit Bay Bridge in Turkey, Incheon Bridge in South Korea, and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge –– the longest cross-sea bridge in the world.

Fasten Group is also the first Chinese company to develop optical fiber preform and inertial guidance with polarization maintaining fiber, breaking the monopoly held by firms in Western countries.
