A week-long educational program, the 27th of its kind, was held across China from June 11 to 17 to raise energy conservation awareness.
Dahua Yao autonomous county (Hechi in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region) initiated a series of activities to spread knowledge and encourage the public to be more energy-saving conscious, on June 13, the "day of low-carbon".
Officials from the local environmental protection bureau urged local residents to pursue green consumption and green lifestyles, by taking public buses or cycling rather than driving.
