Hong Kong and Guangdong residents had a wonderful evening at the Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall, Guangzhou, on June 25.
The Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra (GSO), one of China's most prestigious music ensembles, brought a magnificent performance to the stage, as part of the celebrations to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's handover of sovereignty to the motherland.
The event was co-sponsored by People's government of Guangdong Province, CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee to cherish the fond memories between Hong Kong and Guangdong province over the past 20 years.
Guangdong and Hong Kong share a lot of similarities in geography and culture, and have maintained close cooperation and win-win development over years.
Under the baton of Jing Huan, resident conductor of the GSO, the orchestra reproduced classic works eulogizing the journey that Hong Kong residents have lived through.
More than 3,000 people attended the concert.
