Egypt's Ambassador to China Osama Al-Magdoub called Xiamen a beautiful city with enormous historical and cultural appeal during his visit to the city in Fujian province From June 20 to 22.
The ambassador met with officials from the foreign affairs offices of Xiamen and Fujian during his visit to the coastal city, his first since he took office last September.
Al-Magdoub also paid a visit to Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Gulangyu Island, Xiamen Mosque and the headquarters of leading local company Xiamen San'an Optoelectronis during his trip.

The ambassador was very impressed by the achievements Xiamen has made in developing its trade, economy and tourist and cultural facilities, according to reports.
The ambassador expressed his gratitude to the foreign and overseas Chinese affairs office of Xiamen for its assistance during his visit. He also said he looked forward to visiting Xiamen again in the near future.
