Bids sought for shuttle-bus service on HZM bridge

Invitations to bid on shuttle bus service for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) were posted on June 15 by the Guangdong Provincial Transportation Department, Transport Department of Hong Kong SAR, and Transport Bureau of Macao SAR.

Registration for the bid will start on June 29 and end July 12.

The shuttle bus service provider is to allow passengers to commute between border-crossing checkpoints in Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macao. Both a Hong Kong-Zhuhai Bus Line and a Hong Kong-Macao Bus Line will be launched.

According to the announcement, the number of shuttle buses in operation is expected to be 90 to 140 with no more than 30 stand-by vehicles (the number is calculated with 45 seats per bus).
