Zhuhai stole the limelight at the International Travel Expo (ITE) 2017 held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (1A-1E Hall) on June 15.
The city's theme parks, island resorts, and travel and tour routes all received praise from attendees.
Under the auspices of the Zhuhai Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau and Zhuhai Tourist Development Center, the tourist departments of Hengqin New Area; Xiangzhou, Jinwan and Doumen districts; Wanshan Marine Development Experimental Zone, and Wanshan Tourist Association, along with ten related businesses, took part in the expo.
The event integrated the leisure-focused 31st ITE and 12th ITE MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions), and attracted more than 600 exhibitors from 52 tourist destinations around the globe. The exhibition hosts separate trade/MICE days and public/FIT days each with their promotion angles.

Boutique summer island tours to Dong'ao and Wailingding islands drew lots of attention, arousing interests into what kind of leisure and entertainment experience the newly listed 4A-Grade scenic spots could provide.
Also popular were the low-altitude tours by Aviclub in Jinwan District. Routes can be customized to suit visitor requirements and are said to be ideal for weddings.
Tourism products displayed at Taiwan and Asia-Pacific stalls also proved a big hit.
Participating Zhuhai tourism businesses included Hengqin Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort, New Yuanming Palace, High-Speed Passenger Ferry Co Ltd, Club Med Dong'ao Island, Jinhui Gift & Souvenir Co Ltd, and Yang Yang International Travel Service Co Ltd.
Zhuhai will also carry out promotional events at the Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo in early July to deepen Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao cooperation on tourism.
